Welcome to Kratos Athletics. More specifically, welcome to the blog, The Kratos Way.

Each installment here is going to be pretty short (readable in a minute or two), and is meant to function as a guide, like a series of mile markers, directing you down the road. The road of health and fitness, obviously. It's a long one. It's hilly, winding, dark at times. Potholes everywhere. And we all need encouragement to keep us going. We need mile markers along the way. That's what this blog is supposed to be, and each one will end with three tips to help gas up your tank for the longer trip. Here they are for Blog #1:

Tip 1) Gratitude improves our gas mileage. If we nurture an attitude of discouragement, and complain with every rep and bite, we'll never succeed. We have to be grateful for the little successes along the way (and the ability to pursue those successes at all).

Tip 2) We only get one body (as far as we know); if it gives out on us, there's no warranty. We have to do the refurbishing ourselves. And bodies take a lot of refurbishing. So make health a priority. Make health a habit.

Tip 3) Healthful living isn't about one behavior. A single food you add or cut. Or a single exercise you incorporate into your daily routine. "Just do 20 minutes of burpees before getting out of bed in the morning, even if you sleep next to someone." Health isn't that. It's a comprehensive lifestyle. You have to be the embodiment of the body you want. Once you are, you'll find yourself enjoying the journey.
